LITTLE THEATRE is a café inside Yuen Long Theatre, offering a place to pause beside the performance halls — before a show begins, or after it ends.

Our coffee is made with organic beans from Melbourne’s Dukes Coffee, known for sourcing from smaller farms and cooperatives and for a clean, balanced cup that works both every day and when tasted slowly; whether as a latte, filter coffee or espresso, we want each cup to feel sourced and considered, not only caffeinated. Otur tea is ISSO, a contemporary organic Japanese tea whose leaves come from the small share of Japan’s harvest that is organically certified, then finished by tea artisans according to cultivar and origin, with more emphasis on the leaf’s own aroma, sweetness and liquor than ordinary tea bags allow. For a lighter pause, or for those who prefer not to drink coffee, a cup of organic sencha, hojicha or matcha is equally at home here. The menu is simple and filling — pasta, rice, toast and cakes — meant for a proper meal before or after a performance, an afternoon with coffee and cake, or an unhurried sit with friends, without leaving the theatre.

little threater is not a place that hurries guests out. Inside the theatre, we want a slower corner: organic coffee from Melbourne, organic tea from Japan, and food prepared with care. Whether you are here for a performance or have come especially for the café, you are welcomed here.
